Two town hall facades characterise the town hall square (Rathausplatz) of Bad Reichenhall. Colourful façade paintings decorate the old town hall with the clock tower on the gable. It was built around 1850 using the Gothic Revival style. From 1937 to 1938, the new town hall was built using the then prevailing Inn-Salzach style. Around the Wittelsbacher fountain with the four Bavarian Lions, young and old meet in exclusive restaurants and bars or cosy sidewalk cafes.
