The Predigtstuhl cable car at Bad Reichenhall - silent elegance
Meeting an alpine legend
When a cable car is called the "Grande Dame of the Alps", it has to be something special. Anyone who has experienced the Predigtstuhl cable car at Bad Reichenhall up close will gladly confirm that its name is well-earned. Not only has it been transporting visitors to a height of around 1,600 metres regularly since 1928, but it was and is a prime example of silent elegance and safety as well. The "Grand Dame of the Alps" inspired the world press when first used, and still enchants visitors with its flair today. The fact that she is the last of her type may contribute to the fact that she is unique. Or that she worked so well from the start that she can still do her work in her original state until today.
