Annual meeting of top musicians at the Kissinger summer event

Every year from mid-June to mid-July, the venerable spa town of Bad Kissingen becomes the focal point of the European music business. Then, internationally renowned artists meet there for the Kissinger summer event "Kissinger Sommer". Since its start in 1986, the music festival has become a permanent event in the festival calendar. Classic stars with big names are permanent guests here - from Cecilia Bartoli to Lang Lang to David Garrett. They appreciate the exquisite ambience of the spa town at least as much as the ever-enthusiastic audience. With the German Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of Bremen under its principal conductor Paavo Järvi, the "Kissinger Sommer" even has its own festival orchestra, which impresses with elaborate annual concerts.

World-class unique concert venues

In addition to top stars and extraordinary concerts, the "Kissinger Sommer" is also strongly influenced by the venues where it takes place. The primary focus lies in the unique Max Littmann hall in the regent building. It is considered to be one of the acoustically best concert halls in the world. With the Rossini hall, the arcade building, the Kurgartencafé and, last but not least, the spa theatre, the "Kissinger Sommer" has grand concert halls, which offer atmospheric, festive music enjoyment. In short, the "Kissinger Musiksommer" combines concerts of the highest musical quality with a great, enchanting and relaxed atmosphere in a unique way. A visit there is not only worth it as a spa guest.
