Summer night flair with the Philharmonic "Klangwolke" in Bad Reichenhall
Every year, the Alpine town of Bad Reichenhall invites its guests to a true cultural experience with its graceful Philharmonic "Klangwolke" (literally, a cloud of sound). For the past decade, Bad Reichenhall's Philharmonic Orchestra has been immersing the popular health resort in a very summerly "Klangwolke" of a very special kind on the last Friday of each August. In the meantime, the Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of conductor Christian Simonis has been presenting traditional music of the highest standard at the royal spa garden concert rotunda. From here, Radio Bayernwelle Südost broadcasts the two-hour concert directly into the Bad Reichenhall pedestrian zone and the participating shops, which are open until 10 pm on the day.
