Enjoy art at the spa house of Bad Steben
The museum of graphics with a printing workshop is worth seeing"Art can build bridges" - true to this motto, the founders of the museum, Stefanie Barbara and Dr Wolfgang Schreiner organised exhibitions as far back as the Cold War in the East and West. In addition to international and regional art, exhibitions with works from Eastern Europe or the "new" federal states are still a focal point of their lovingly collected collection.
Living art experience
The Museum of Graphics presents its treasures directly at the state spa house of Bad Steben. Other works can be seen in the spacious, light-flooded foyer of the famous Klenze building in the spa garden. There is a lot happening at the museum's own open printing workshop. At workshops, visitors have the opportunity of getting to know the various tools and creating their own printing plate. Those who wish to get more involved in the subject can take part in special art courses in the summer.
Museum education and children's projects
For the little ones, the museum has a play and painting corner. Creative tasks are to promote their sense of art and also provide fun and create a happy atmosphere.
A path of sculptures in the locality
A path of sculptures encourages people to go for a walk through Bad Steben, a joint project of the city with the Museum of Graphics. Artists from Germany, Lithuania and Bulgaria have contributed to its design to date with very different creations; other objects are yet to come.
